It's damn annoying when after taking loads of toil searching the net, we find the e-book we are searching for, feel pleased as the download bar finally progresses, but the very next moment get stuck due to access restrictions most commonly implemented using passwords.It's tough to always find the e-book we desire as only the popular e-books get uploaded which are commercially viable.
Here are some tools for cracking those passwords comfortably, although 100% success may not be guaranteed.

- Batch operation on many files from command line;
- Support Adobe Standard 40-bit Encryption, Adobe Advanced 128-bit Encryption and AES Encryption;
- Decrypt protected Adobe Acrobat PDF files, removing restrictions on printing, editing, copying;
- RAR Password recovery: It's common myth among many I have come across that RAR is a e-book format. Well it is not, rather it is a compressed file format ( like .zip) for archiving any type of file with low packing size.RAR password protection is pretty good, but still we can crack it using this utility. But it may not work full-proof if the password is sufficiently strong. At the moment, there is no known method to extract the password from the compressed file; so the only available methods are "brute force" and dictionary-based attacks.
- It has a convenient and easy to use user interface;
- Works with one protected file at a time (multiple uses of ARPR is possible);
- all compression methods are supported;
- self-extracting archives are supported;
- you can select the custom character set for "brute-force" attack (non-English characters are supported);
- you can interrupt the program at any time. Resuming is supported;
- can work in the background, using the CPU only when it is in an idle state;
- can utilise either a customizable "brute-force" approach, or an effective dictionary-based approach. The different approaches can be used for all RAR types and compression methods using AES (Rijndael algorithm) 128-bit encryption, e.g., set the password length (range) of the character set used to generate the passwords, and many other options;
- A multilingual interface is provided.
Step 1: After starting the application select "Brute-force" in the Type Of Attack.
Step 2: Under "Range" Tab select the required options depending on the type of passwords you use.
Step 2: Browse & select the "Encrypted RAR file".
Step 4: In the "Start from" text box, enter the initial characters of the rar file you remember & Start the process.It is generally useful for shorter passwords as greater the password length, greater the time required to crack it.
Well this for only those who have ample time as breaking long rar passwords of even around 10 characters can take a year or even more.So, that is next to impossible.
Caution: Use this rar password recovery tool at your own risk.As it is resource intensive, its use in stronger systems with at least dual core processors & 2 Gb RAM is recommended.Close all other programs while running it otherwise it nay cause system crash.
